Meaning Behind The Sun
In her battle, brave and strong,
Stefanie’s light shone all along.
I asked her once, “What do you see,
In a life of joy, light, and harmony?”
“I see a sun,” she softly said,
A vibrant symbol in her head.
I asked her then to draw it bright,
Each ray a symbol of her light.
The rays were bold, the face was fun,
She laughed, “looks like a kid has drawn this sun!”
But through that laughter, strength was shown,
A symbol that would guide her home.
She wrote the words that filled her soul,
Words of hope that made her whole.
This sun became her guiding star,
To help her when the days were hard.
When Stefanie’s journey came to end,
I had a pin made to transcend,
Her sun, her strength, her love, her light,
To keep her close, both day and night.
Now in that pin, I feel her grace,
Her warmth, her smile, her beautiful face.
A piece of her that shines above,
A lasting symbol of her life & love.
